We paid extra for breakfast, and the buffet had a great cooked breakfast, served hot and cooked just right, along with everything else you could ask for. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the price felt good for what we got. We only stayed one night, which was a shame. The hotel is quiet and set in beautiful surroundings. Our family room was very comfortable, with a double bed for us and a small single for our son. Everything was spotless, and there was an ensuite rainfall shower and even a little fridge. The room was on the small side, but it was perfectly formed.

The hotel had the feel of somewhere straight out of The Shining, and I wouldn't stay again, even in peak season. We booked through booking.com with breakfast, then got a call saying breakfast wouldn't be served because it was “too quiet to warrant the bar or restaurant to be open.” That was a big inconvenience, but we made do and went out for dinner and breakfast. The room was reasonably upmarket, with a new bathroom and a rainfall shower that deserves top marks. The bedroom was clean enough and the bed was big, but it was two mattresses pushed together and really uncomfortable. We didn't sleep well. The WiFi was very good, which mattered because there was no mobile signal.

There was so much room in the hotel and its grounds that we even managed a full game of Twister without bumping into anything or anyone. Plenty of space to relax, spread out, or get a little chaotic if that's your thing. We loved staying at Adamton Country House Hotel. Breakfast was great, especially the tattie scones, which were crispy and fluffy and so easy to keep eating. Good vibes, good food. I'd absolutely stay again.

The staff were all so friendly and accommodating, and there was a good range of food for our group throughout the stay. The food itself was very good too. I had a great stay this past week, with a comfortable room that had been recently updated. The hotel was spotless, and I'm already looking forward to returning. Highly recommend.

Such a peaceful, beautiful place to get away from busy city life. I could properly relax and unwind here. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for some quiet and a chance to recharge and forget their worries.
