The view over the river estuary was stunning, and our stay at Rosegarth was comfortable and relaxed thanks to The Pennington Hotel. There were a couple of minor problems with the room and the front door key. The receptionist listened carefully and said they’d make sure those were sorted, though the issues didn’t take away from our enjoyment.

Ian was a helpful source of local tips and village history, and the Inn next door is a nice place for food and a pint or two. Sarah also sent recommendations and advice before we arrived, which was a lovely touch. Our en-suite room was clean throughout, well equipped, and had comfortable beds. Breakfast came in good-sized portions with plenty of choice, so you won’t leave hungry. Ian and Sarah were welcoming, informative hosts. We’d stay again.

We were here for the Coast to Coast, and the whole stay was amazing. The staff, quality of the breakfast and dinner, and immaculate accommodation all stood out. They even kept our bikes safely stored away. Thanks very much, we’ll be back 😊

Right by the station, the location was perfect for starting our Coast to Coast bike ride. This is a cut above an average B&B, with clean, nicely presented rooms and good attention to detail. Breakfast was decent and included gluten-free options. The hosts were friendly and welcoming. Recommended!

We were six people starting the Hadrian’s cycle way, and the host looked after us well. There was secure bike storage in a garage, a great cooked breakfast, and a lovely view over the bay. Recommended.
