Pam and Doug were excellent hosts, and their knowledge of the area was useful for getting to the city’s many tourist attractions by bus. We could park conveniently on the street right outside, and Portobello, Edinburgh’s long beach, was a ten-minute walk away. The continental breakfast was varied and plentiful. We really enjoyed our visit. The Georgian Guest House is attractive, with comfortable facilities and lovely period furnishings and décor. Our room and bathroom were extremely comfortable. We’d stay again next time we’re in Edinburgh. Highly recommended and excellent value.

Pam and Doug were so friendly and helpful during our stay. They gave us change for the local bus, suggested nearby restaurants, called a taxi and even got up very early to see us off on departure day. The place was clean, homey and cozy, and my wife and I really enjoyed it. The beach is within walking distance, and the city centre is about a 15-minute bus ride away. We’d recommend it to friends visiting Edinburgh, and we’d definitely return on a future visit, probably around August. Kim and Victoria from Toronto, Canada

Pam and Doug made us feel so looked after. They were warm and welcoming, and at breakfast they were happy to suggest buses, places to visit, and somewhere good to eat. We had all the privacy we wanted, too. We stayed four days at The Georgian Guest House. Our room and bathroom on the first floor were just for us, and both were lovely and kept spotless. The house is beautiful and sits in a very quiet neighborhood, about a ten-minute walk from the bus stop for the centre. It met all our expectations and then some. We were thoroughly spoiled, and would highly recommend it.
