Roomzzz Edinburgh

The view from the room was stunning, and the apartment was worth every penny. It's the best hotel apartment I've stayed in so far, and I'd happily recommend it and return. Javi made our first visit to Roomzzz Edinburgh especially memorable. He was warm, professional and genuinely kind, took time to explain the room and complimentary refreshments, and gave us useful advice about parking and getting around Edinburgh. He's a real credit to the company.

We were able to leave our bags at the hotel after checkout until our flight, which was really handy. There’s also a little snack shop at reception, useful for dealing with a hangover. The room was amazing, with a great view of caldon and Arthur’s seat, and the staff were kind and knew their stuff. The taxi booking tech at the desk got us a ride for immediate pickup by the time we reached the street. There were free pastries in the morning and a hot drinks machine available around the clock. The coffee was better than the Milkman. Everything felt spot on, and they made my birthday trip run smoothly. We’ll be back.

We chose to leave early, as this stay didn't work for us, especially for around £2,000. My husband became ill and when I asked for an extra duvet, I was told the staff had gone home and couldn't provide one. Housekeeping hadn't changed the sheets, just moved things around, and the coffee, milk and sugar weren't topped up. The coffee machine overheated and room service didn't work. The toilet seat was broken when we arrived. My husband and I often visit Edinburgh and like apartment-style hotels for the extra space, but the layout here felt awkward, with the bed facing the door. It was a small double and very soft, so sleeping was uncomfortable. The bathroom light also shone straight onto the bed through the door design. Others may have a different experience, but ours was disappointing.

Anita checked us in and was helpful and nice. The room was tidy and clean, and I liked the bathroom and the overall design. It's a nice, clean, well-equipped hotel in the centre, and the room was kept in good condition by maintenance. The mattress in room 704 needs replacing soon. If it has been changed already, I'd ask what type they use at roomzzz In Manchester, because the one there was much better. We only had one glass, so we managed with a cup, but they should add more or someone will leave a one-star review! I also think people can be too quick to complain about small mistakes, like having to buy toothpaste, or expect perfection just because they paid for a room. Mistakes happen. I hope to return to Edinburgh and would choose this hotel again.
