Righ Residences

The apartment on George Street was modern, clean and very well equipped. It was small, but we had a great stay otherwise, and self-service check-in was simple. We wouldn’t return, though, because of the offsite breakfast at Cote on Frederick St. The coffee was poor, service slow and no one paid attention to our table. Staff were too busy talking to each other, and they forgot our juice order. They asked if we needed anything once we’d finished eating, when they should have checked earlier. The vegetarian breakfast could have been hotter. Since this place is associated with Righ, they need to improve. We wouldn’t return to Righ Appartments because of the breakfast.

The room was very clean and everything in it was comfortable. We were allowed to check in early, which suited our arrival. It’s close to the bus station, about a 20-minute walk from Edinburgh Waverly station, and there are very good restaurants within walking distance.

We spent two months looking at places in Edinburgh, from Intercontinental to W, and each seemed to be missing something. We took a chance on Righ, since reviews can be misleading, and were impressed beyond what we’d imagined. The room, views, location, facilities and cleanliness were all just right. Crisp walls, decor, lighting, kitchen and utensils, plus the best mattresses we’ve ever slept on. The double glazing kept out sound and light, so the sleep quality was the most important highlight for us. Everything about the staff felt like sincere Scottish hospitality, from cleaning and communication through to checkout. I haven’t come across another hotel or furnished apartment that answers emails so quickly and honestly or does so much to meet requests and answer questions. We’re grateful to everyone we met, and to the people working behind the scenes whom we didn’t get to know. We’re the people who asked about the stove cleaner, so you’ll remember us. Hope we see you again. If you’re researching where to stay, this place is a hidden gem. Don’t waste your time looking elsewhere.

The room was amazing, with high-end, quality furnishings and everything we needed to travel light. Champagne and fudge on arrival were lovely touches. It’s in a convenient location, and we’re sure to return. Thanks, RIGH Residences, for making our trip memorable 😄.
