Premier Inn Basildon - Rayleigh

The cooked breakfast was fresh and made to order, and Fay was so helpful she even put together a little takeaway pack for me. The room was immaculate, well stocked, and had everything I needed. The bed was super comfortable, with crisp, clean linen. I paid just £52, too. Although the hotel is on a busy road, my room looked out over the car park at the back. There can be a bit of noise from the nearby Harvester, but it wasn’t a problem. David kindly brought me cutlery and napkins for my takeaway, and everyone I dealt with was friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean, tidy, and welcoming. I’d definitely recommend it.

The main downside was the heat in the evenings, around 25-26 degrees Celsius. There’s no air conditioning in the rooms, just a fan. The rooms themselves are clean, nicely renovated, and pleasant.

I come here every month for site meetings. It’s quiet and clean, and breakfast is good. Would recommend.

We had a delicious buffet breakfast the next morning in the cafe area by reception, with lovely staff there too. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and we had plenty of laughs with them. Our room was clean and tidy. The road noise only came in with the windows open, so closing them sorted it out. There’s free parking on site, and it’s about a 15-minute walk up the hill to Rayleigh town. I stayed on 2nd January, really liked the hotel, and would definitely recommend it and stay again.
