Bull Inn

The food is the main draw here, and it was excellent. My medium-rare rib-eye was high quality and cooked perfectly. The rooms are very well appointed and fit the old Inn nicely, and there’s a good beer selection at the bar. It’s a traditional pub with dining and rooms, though the bar is small and can get crowded. Most of the Inn is set up for dining, leaving only a few seats by the bar for casual drinks. The staff were friendly and helpful. If you’re staying, arrive early, as parking can be difficult with the small carpark.

Our evening meal was delicious, and breakfast was just as good. The bar and restaurant staff were very friendly, polite, and attentive, and our bed was comfortable. The room was scrupulously clean and tidy. It’s ideally placed for a gentle walk along a path beside the River Thames. I’d strongly recommend the Bull Inn.

A lovely old village pub, refurbished to a really high standard. The rooms are cosy and comfortable, though a smart TV would be a nice extra, and the water pressure is what you’d expect in an old Grade II building. The restaurant was fabulous for both dinner and breakfast, with a decent wine list, and the usual excellent Fullers drinks selection. Loved it, and we’ll come back for the great value.

I’ve had many excellent pints here over the years while working in the TV business park, but this time it was great to stay and enjoy the atmosphere. The old pub is beautiful. On Monday evening I had the pie of the day and a couple of great pints of HSB and London Pride, both kept really well. The room was great, with a superking bed and large walk-in shower. After breakfast, we walked along the river, then had lunch with friends. The food was just as good as the night before.
