Palm Cottage

I booked Palm cottage a month before our trip. The website said payment would be taken automatically on the day, and I checked the confirmation regularly for any problems. We drove up from Swansea and arrived in Newquay expecting to check in at the agreed 5:00pm time. When I called the property holder, I was told I had apparently cancelled, and they had rented the place to someone else. We were left without accommodation after a long journey, facing another long trip home. The property holders were arrogant and sly, and blamed me for the cancellation. Do not book with them. Cheers Palm Cottage

We were five people, and the host was so sweet. The cottage itself is lovely and well maintained, with full kitchen access, a separate bathroom and toilet, a double bed, a single bed, and a sofa bed in the living room. The fridge had skimmed milk, butter, bread, and eggs, and tea bags, coffee, and sugar were provided too. The entrance is very tight. Getting our Ford Mondeo in and out was quite tough.

I’m posting because my friend’s review disappeared, and mine did too on their food business. I wouldn’t have rated this accommodation as badly as he did, but seeing the review vanish makes me think it deserves that rating.

Be careful, they cancel your accommodation for no reason, and the property holder was rude on the phone. I wish I could give less than one star. They don’t even deserve that.
