The Prince of Wales

Good range of lagers, a fun pub quiz, and friendly staff who were very accommodating. It's a nice pub in a handy spot near the train station. A guest ale slot would be a welcome addition.

I'm not easily bothered, and neither are the lads I work with, but we were booked into this place and read the reviews. It's absolutely terrible. Trust what people say and don't book. No wonder they have a no-refund policy through Booking.com.

This used to be a decent pub, but it's really gone downhill over the past 12 months. Some good high tables that worked well for groups have been removed, and the lighting is now extremely bright. The bar staff also seem to have just left school. The new owner must like losing money.

We had a fantastic time last weekend. The pub was lively and buzzing at the front while we had our party in the back. There was plenty of delicious food, and every request was taken care of straight away. My upstairs room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The key had a small problem, but staff sorted it out immediately. Katie, the landowner, and Blaire, the barman, were running everything with professionalism, friendliness, and great attention to detail. Highly recommended, and I'll definitely be back.
