Breakfast suited my wife and me really well, and we’re already thinking of coming back. Rhyl is lovely, and this is a clean, tidy, family-friendly place in a fairly quiet location. The bed was comfortable and the showers were fine. The two hosts were lovely too, they talked with us and seemed to genuinely care.

The rooms are spacious and well equipped, the breakfast was tasty, and the seafront is only a two-minute walk away. Karen and Mark at The Cove Guest House made our stay, though. They were warm, attentive and friendly, and nothing felt like too much trouble. They went well beyond what we expected. We can easily give the place 10/10 and would recommend The Cove Guest House without hesitation. Thanks for the hospitality, we can’t wait to return. Kate & Jake xx

Breakfast was one of the best I’ve had in a while. The place was lovely, very clean and presentable, and we were warmly welcomed when we arrived. That courteous service carried on right through to departure. I’d happily stay again if I’m in the area.

The breakfast was awful, the food was cremated, and the bed squeaked badly over creaky floorboards. The so-called small double was really a single room with a double bed, and the wardrobe was in the bathroom. After a long drive, I wanted to be shown the room and left to relax, not kept in an hour of small talk. The hosts were a little too friendly. I won’t stay again.

We paid £25 per person per night and had the whole top floor to ourselves, including a family room, kitchen and double room with en-suite. There were just two of us, staying for two nights to visit family nearby. Ron gave us a very warm welcome after our journey from Torquay, and his staff were friendly and accommodating throughout. The excellent breakfast was another plus. The guest house may not be the most modern, but the hospitality more than makes up for that compared with fancier B & B's.
