The staff were friendly and really attentive, and we thought it was good value. The rooms were great and the food was good too. A lovely spot for an excellent pub and hotel. Recommended.

The hotel team were about as kind as you could hope for as a guest. They made our stay unbelievably charming, and gave me a real taste of British hospitality. I hadn't visited the UK in many years, but this was a wonderful experience. I hope I can return soon and see those lovely people again.

I've never written a negative review before, but I feel I have no choice. The food was repulsive and gave me the worst food poisoning of my life, so we had to cut our Easter break short. I couldn't recommend The George to anyone who cares about their general wellbeing.

We had a Sunday Lunch booking for 15:30, but when we were ready to order, we found out chicken was the only roast left. Everything else had sold out. That might suit the pub, but we were a little frustrated.
