Hampton By Hilton Rochdale

I’d happily stay again on my next visit. I’ve often talked down my hometown of Rochdale since moving to Vienna, but I was impressed both by the hotel and by how much the town centre has improved. The town feels like it’s moving in a positive direction, and the Hampton by Hilton fits that change well. We stayed one night at the Hampton by Hilton Rochdale. It was easy to find on a quiet road off John Street, next to the new shopping district, and I liked the modern look of the building and area. Our fourth-floor room was stylish, spotless and comfortable, with a generously sized bed and a lovely view of the Town Hall. I hadn’t slept that well in a long time. Breakfast was decent and had a good range. I’m not keen on machine coffee and prefer a freshly filtered cup served at the table, but the hotel coffee was fine.

The staff and the shower were the standouts this time. Those two things alone will bring me back again and again. Just wow! My partner has stayed here a few times and said I’d love it. I’m picky, so I wasn’t convinced, but yep, I loved it too. The location is right in the town centre. There’s no parking, but there’s a really cheap option nearby, with extra discounts available at reception. The rooms are generous for the price, with very comfy beds and two big pillows each. There’s a smart TV with Sky, and breakfast was fantastic.

The buffet dinner was great, and the pasta was some of the best I’ve ever had. Breakfast was good too, with everything available the whole time, and even the bar staff were excellent. I was lucky to be booked into this hotel for a weekend away with Caledonian travel. It’s the best hotel I’ve stayed in on these trips. Five stars from me.

The location is really convenient, with shops and restaurants nearby. Our room was spotless and comfortable, with great amenities, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our visit. We had a wonderful stay at Hampton by Hilton Rochdale and would definitely come back.
