Camden Arms Hotel

Beau greeted us when we came in for Sunday carvery and was so polite and helpful. She seated us quickly and gave us great dessert suggestions, which we really appreciated. Probably the best staff member out there. Hope to come back soon.

This is a review of the meals only, not the hotel. We always enjoy eating at the Camden Arms. The menu is extensive, the food is well prepared, and the surroundings are comfortable and friendly, with competitive prices. On this visit, the service stood out. The young man serving us was attentive to our table and the people nearby, friendly, polite, and keen to make sure everyone was happy. He's a real credit to the pub and a good advert for it. Thanks to him, though I wish we'd caught his name.

We were let down by another restaurant in Tunbridge Wells on a Saturday night, so I called Simon rather late to ask about a table. He managed to fit in our party of 21 and took good care of us. The staff were brilliant and the food was excellent. It was so good that we're all coming back for the Sunday carvery tomorrow. 👍

The food I could eat was okay, but pepper spilled over most of my plate because the lid wasn't on properly. I told the waitress, and she didn't seem to care. She just gave me a funny look and said sorry, without offering any help, so I managed only about half the plate. I sat there afterwards with my mouth burning from the pepper. I won't be back.
