The parking was tricky in a larger van. Restrictions and height limits meant I had to park about 10-15 minutes away. Still, the staff and accommodation more than made up for it, and I’m looking forward to coming back in a few weeks. I stayed two nights for work and had a great time. The beds were comfy, there was decent space, and the room was cleaner than at most other Premier Inns I’ve stayed in. Everyone was friendly and made me feel comfortable. Alice and Rowan were fantastic at dinner both nights. It was busier the second night, but the service still felt just as attentive. Some customers were making a bit of a fuss, though I’m not sure what about, and Alice and Rowan handled it professionally and seemed to sort it out. James is an amazing chef. The bacon and cheese burger on the first night was messy but tasty, and the gammon steak the second night was just as good. The desserts were heavenly, especially the Pancakes. I didn’t get the morning staff’s names, but they were great too. I saw them helping customers who hadn’t had a Premier Inn breakfast before.

This Premier Inn was particularly welcoming, and the room was wonderfully peaceful. Clean room, comfy bed, blackout curtains, and a powerful shower. Great location too. There’s a restaurant onsite, but we went out since there are so many little gems nearby. I love the consistency of the Premier Inn group.

There’s a strong smell throughout the corridors and rooms, like stale cigarettes, and it seems to come from the air-con. I don’t know what it is, and when I ask, nobody else seems to smell it. Maybe they’ve got used to it. It was so overpowering it woke me during the night. Turning off the air-con didn’t stop it, and after just one night, the clothes in my bag smelled of it too. The hotel is dirt cheap and convenient, but each time I stay I tell myself I won’t return. This time I think I’ll have to mean it.

The location was superb, just a short walk from the station and close to lots of shops and restaurants. My partner and I stayed for two nights. The room was clean, the bed was comfy, and the staff were very helpful. We had a wonderful stay.

Cheryl was amazing and really looked after us. The customer service was brilliant, the location was great, and the spacious rooms were clean. The food was cooked well. We’ll definitely stay again.
