There was no breakfast, as Brenda can’t currently provide it. The room was comfortable, with a huge bed and a spacious bathroom, though the WC felt a bit too tucked into the corner. We got a lovely welcome and good directions, and the price was reasonable. I’d book again.

Brenda went out of her way to make us comfortable, even setting the table for our takeaway fish and chips. The cottage was warm and cosy during a cold December weekend, and full of character. Our room was better than expected, with a very comfortable bed, a great shower and thoughtful little extras, including much-appreciated biscuits. It’s perfectly located for a weekend in Rye. Couldn’t recommend it enough.

Brenda made us feel so welcome as soon as we arrived at the stunning Tea House. Our beautiful suite was full of character, decorated throughout with care, and had an extremely comfortable bed. There was lovely linen, plenty of towels and nice toiletries. We appreciated all the extras too, from chocolates and a choice of teas and coffee to the bonus Prosecco. Breakfast was delicious. Highly recommended, and we’ll definitely be back 🥰

The Tea House is right in the centre of town and easy to reach from the car park, which costs £2.50 a day. The house is quirky, just as its name suggests, with warm, wonky rooms and a fresh, modern bathroom. Brenda, the owner, is there to help personally. The medicine cabinet has cosmetic bottles in case you’ve forgotten something, and the tea box comes with snacks. You can also have a lovely breakfast in the living room. I recommend it, since I found the food in the cafes outside wasn’t up to standard.
