Green Door - Torca

After an 18-year gap, I came back and stayed in Jasmine, just outside the door of the Port Gaverne Hotel and only a short walk from the beach. It has its own parking space right by the entrance. The lounge and dining area was comfortable and nicely decorated, and the kitchen attached to it was well stocked. They'd left milk, wine, tea, coffee and biscuits, a really nice touch. The bathroom was clean and tidy, with a shower over the bath, and sat off the hall by the main bedroom. There's also a smaller single room, while the main bedroom has a king-sized bed with a quality mattress. A large smart TV is in the lounge. It's a lovely, warm holiday home and I'm impressed with the quality. I'd recommend it to anyone wanting a break.

I've stayed twice in the last few months, and that probably says enough. It's always a pleasure to return to PG, see old friends and enjoy their hospitality. I know several of the cottages, but on both recent trips I chose Jasmine Cottage, which suits my needs so well. The facilities, decor and furnishings all felt ideal for a North Cornwall holiday cottage. The owners can be sure I'd recommend it to anyone after a great place for a holiday or short break. Foodies will be in their element, with so many good restaurants and places to eat in Port Gaverne and Port Isaac. The place feels welcoming, and so do the people. Thanks again Pip.

North Cornwall is a walker's paradise, with lovely coastal paths and stunning views. You can take it easy here too if that's what you want. The welcome is friendly, and the cottages have everything you need for a relaxing holiday.

Port taverne is a small cove beside port isaac, where dock Martin is filmed. Green door cottages is a group of self-catering places, from a one-bed cottage up to one that sleeps six. I've stayed in two, and both were superb with everything needed for a great stay. Mobile coverage isn't great, but there's plenty of wifi. The port gaverne hotel is just yards away and serves fine food and ale, and there's a new bistro nearby too. It's a quiet, pleasant spot and well worth visiting.
