We stopped here as part of our planned Salcombe pub crawl, so didn't have any food. The service was excellent, with great views over the harbour and a good range of quality drinks, including real ales. They leave little pub games on the tables in the top bar, which is a nice touch. Downstairs outside, there are picnic tables and a bar of their own.

Drinks have always been good on the many times I've visited, but dinner was a letdown. We ordered fish and chips and a beef burger, and waited 40 minutes. The fish and chips were good, but the burger was overdone and let the meal down badly.

There were 17 of us for dinner, and we had the Sunday pork Porcetta and Seafood basket. Everything was fresh and delicious, and the pork was so tender. The service was fantastic and friendly. Faultless.

The beer garden has lovely scenery and atmosphere, but drinks are on the expensive side and the selection isn't very wide. If you're happy to pay a premium for a memorable setting, The Ferry Inn is a great choice.
