My stay at Ibis Budget Manchester in room 224 was disappointing because housekeeping came in without properly following privacy procedures. The “Do Not Disturb” sign was up, but the room was still entered, which left me uncomfortable and worried about security. We had about £3,000 worth of merchandise in the room for an event, so privacy mattered especially. Thankfully nothing was missing, but it caused unnecessary stress. The room itself was basic, though acceptable for the price. I understand hotels need to maintain rooms, but guest privacy should be respected and clear rules followed. Better communication and adherence to policy could have prevented this. I hope management deals with it so future guests don't have the same experience.
