Premier Inn Manchester Salford Media City

The staff were awesome, so friendly and helpful, and a real credit to the company. There are lots of places to eat nearby, and the tram station is a short walk away, making it easy to get into central Manchester.

The hotel is on the outskirts of media city, in an area that keeps changing. It’s opposite the Coronation Street set and close to the BBC and ITV studios. Old Trafford stadium is about a 20-minute walk away. The tram stop is within a 10-minute walk, with direct connections to Teafford centre and Manchester city centre. Parking is in the adjacent multi-storey, and with the hotel discount it cost £11 for 25 hours.

My husband and I stayed for a weekend, and I have to mention Lizzie and Rochelle. They handled a crowded, busy restaurant on Sunday night, with demand coming relentlessly, and rose to the challenge. Their work ethic was first class. They were amazing.

After a three-hour journey, we arrived at a pre-booked apartment that was filthy and uninhabitable, so we made a very late reservation here on 15/04/25 and reached the hotel within minutes of booking. The front desk staff were polite, friendly and accommodating. Our rooms weren’t ready yet, and we explained how stressful the journey had been. The staff were extremely hospitable, gave us complimentary drinks while we waited, and did everything they could to make us comfortable and meet our needs. When we got to the room, it was welcoming, clean and well presented. That clean-room aroma is always welcome. The night staff’s hospitality and the tidy room made a real difference. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone in the area, and we’ll definitely be returning.
