The value here is unbeatable. I stayed one night while travelling between Devon and London. My room was large, clean and comfortable, with a traditional sash window and what seemed like recently updated, smart modern furniture. It wasn't en suite, but the shared facilities were absolutely fine. Drinks at the bar were very reasonable, and there was a small food discount at a nearby pub. They charge a small fee for luggage, though the welcome was very hospitable. I'd certainly stay again.

Since my first visit in 07, I never needed to look for another pub. I've spent many pleasant afternoons and evenings here, and it came to feel like my spiritual home. I left for Slovakia in 18, but I'm glad to see the place still going from strength to strength while I've been away. If you want a good time, look no further.

We found this pub while visiting Salisbury, and walking in felt like going back in time. Such a gem, with a great atmosphere, great beer and great sports. Highly recommend.

This is how pubs should be. A proper local boozer, well used and friendly, with real ale too, which is unusual for a working man's pub. The staff and customers are both friendly. Loved it. There are two pool tables and good tunes in the background. Definitely one to check out.

A pint is £3.50, and there's Sky sports, two pool tables, darts and a decent juke box. There aren't many pubs like this left. I'll definitely be back.
