Victoria Lodge was a great choice when my child started secondary school, and the location was perfect. Carole and the other three ladies were incredibly accommodating, making our stay a really pleasant experience. The room was very clean. When our property became available earlier and we needed to change our dates, sweet Carole promptly arranged the refund through Booking.com without hesitation. They’re such kind, helpful people. I highly recommend this hotel.

🇨🇦 Comfortable room with homelike touches, from the lace curtain on the windows to the yellow bedspread that matched the walls. The staff were warm, friendly, and helpful, and Caroline was exceptional in every way. You can get into town by bus or walk about 25 minutes. We had an awesome experience from start to finish and would definitely stay again. It’s clear they care about their guests.

The room was very clean, but the heating was shut off overnight, from around 22:00 until 6AM. The window wasn’t sealed well and cold air came in. By 03 AM the room was 13-14°C. With my dental problems, that was really uncomfortable.

A really nice place, and not too expensive. There’s free WiFi and parking, and it’s an easy 8-10 minute walk to the city centre.

We loved staying here. We arrived early and were given access to our room, with a friendly welcome. There were thoughtful touches, like shortbread with our tea, and the shower was great. The place felt authentic and quaint, like stepping back in time. The car park out front was very accessible.
