I left only 12 hours ago and I'm already missing it terribly. The countryside walks are gorgeous, and the Tamar estuary views change by the hour without ever getting old. The Coryton family and their hardworking, friendly staff have made a real masterpiece here. It's a national treasure, a little piece of heaven in Cornwall. For peace, nature and beauty, I can't think of anywhere better. Simply idyllic.

We had a lovely pre-Mother's Day outing at the open gardens in aid of Cornwall and Devon Mind. After a tasty light lunch, we explored down to the quay until hail sent us looking for shelter in the kitchen garden greenhouses. It was great to see some of the film locations from Beyond Paradise and have a look around the cottage. The staff handled the rush for refreshments really well, even making the sitting rooms available despite our wet coats and muddy shoes. We'll definitely come back for another charity day. Thank you.

I came across t pentille Castle by accident and liked the grounds so much that I invited friends to join me for the open day. We all enjoyed visiting. It's a stunning location.

One star for a place that calls itself luxury but is terrible at replying. David, one of the owners, was obnoxious from the start and then literally forgot about my enquiry to stay at his “luxury” property. If you're charging thousands of dollars, you need outstanding customer service. My one star reflects the quality of the communication.
