Trouville Hotel by Compass Hospitality

The afternoon tea and cakes were lovely, and the evening meals were great too. We enjoyed the turkey and tinsel theme, with spacious sea-view rooms, tea and coffee in the room, and comfortable beds. The rooms did get too hot, though. Breakfast was good, and the staff were friendly and very efficient at both meals. The entertainment was good if you’re into that sort of thing, an organist singing. We had a nice trip.

After a seven-hour journey, we couldn’t even get a fresh cup of coffee. Nothing was open: there was no restaurant or breakfast, and the bar stayed closed. Our room wasn’t serviced at all during the stay, with no fresh towels or replenished tea and coffee. Either open properly or close during the quiet season. You took my money and gave me nothing but a bed. If I weren’t so angry, I’d find it funny.

The meals were good and the service excellent. The staff were really nice, especially Polish Mark in the dining room. We stayed at the beginning of September and I’d recommend it any time.

Marek looked after us all week with charming manner and exemplary, professional service. The Isle of Wight didn’t disappoint, and the hotel’s seafront location was superb. On arrival, our bags were brought from the coach to our room, and we were given tea, coffee and our room key without any fuss. The food and service were excellent. I’d recommend it for a lovely holiday and would definitely stay again.
