The Gallery Lodges

Walking over the dunes to Saunton Sands during storm Francis was epic. Back at The Gallery Lodges, we had a much-needed restful break. Our lodge was beautifully clean, very well equipped, and the generous bathroom and attention to detail made us feel reassured.

We used this beautiful lodge as a base for exploring places in North Devon, and it worked brilliantly. It had everything we needed for our stay, with fantastic facilities, and the owners were lovely. We really can’t fault it and would definitely return.

Even with the weather limiting the walks we’d planned, we got to Woolacombe, Ilfracombe, Saunton, Lynton and Lynmouth during our three days. We ate at SQ and Siam Bistro, both within walking distance, and you can use free parking after 6pm. Lodge 3 was cosy, exceptionally clean and finished to a high standard, with a comfy bed, lovely linen and amazing original art on the walls. Pete was a friendly host and checked we had everything we needed. We also looked at his art in the gallery on site. It was a last-minute short break to unwind and see friends in Braunton, and this hidden gem suited us so well. We’d love to come back in summer to see the meadow at its best.

I loved it here! The lodges are beautifully presented and have everything you could need. The owners are lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. Absolutely fantastic place, I can’t recommend it enough.
