A lovely, cosy cottage that really felt like home. It’s peaceful but still near enough to get out and explore locally, and the people around were friendly. We were welcomed with fresh homemade bread and cakes. Had a great weekend here.

We had a fabulous stay and would happily come back. The four-poster bed was very comfortable, and on arrival there were fresh scones, bread and cake waiting for us.
This is a very good little holiday cottage, with plenty of free parking right outside in its own grounds. The village is peaceful and close to lots of things to do, with Scarborough about 7 miles away and Pickering around 5. The owners live nearby and were helpful. Recommended.
Sawden is a lovely village, and the cottage makes a good base for the East Coast, North York Moors, Dalby Forest and York. There are pleasant walks around the village, plus a good range of nearby pubs, wine bars and restaurants. Great for two people.
We were made to feel very welcome by the lovely owners. The cottage is fantastic and well placed for exploring the surrounding area. Highly recommended.
