We had a family holiday here with seven adults and one child, and loved it. The hosts had thought of practical details too, including laundry products and dishwasher tablets. The kitchen has all the modern appliances, there are two large sitting rooms with a TV in each, and the bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious. The house is beautifully decorated and furnished, with everything we could think of. Its huge, private garden has two visiting peacocks. Scarborough is about a five-minute drive away, and Whitby and Filey are easy to get to, so it’s a great base for the Yorkshire coast. We’d certainly stay here again.

The grounds are extensive and neatly kept, with a huge back lawn where wildlife like deer, squirrels and peacocks might appear. The nearby brand-new holiday park has a lovely bar, just a couple of hundred yards away on foot. We were seven people staying for a week and had a wonderful time at Raincliffe Manor. It feels secluded, though the owners live in the attached annex and were quick to sort out some teething problems we came across. Inside, the house is beautifully furnished, with good-quality soft furnishings and tasteful decor. The kitchen is especially well stocked, the mattresses and pillows are very comfortable, and the bathrooms have lovely big fluffy towels. There's plenty of private parking by the front door, and Scarborough seafront is less than a ten-minute drive. We'd highly recommend renting it.
