After the toilet wouldn’t flush properly, the owners blamed us. They called the police and told us to leave at 7 in the evening, even though it was a bank holiday weekend and everywhere else was full. We had nowhere to go. The couple were among the rudest people I’ve ever had the misfortune to meet, and the way they treated us was shocking. Terrible customer service.
Ten years on, my husband and I still come back three or four times each year. Jill makes a fantastic breakfast, and after a great night’s sleep in the very comfortable bed, it’s a lovely way to start the day. The room is always fresh and clean, and John and Jill give us such a warm welcome. Can’t wait for our next visit.
The English breakfast was excellent, and the hosts were friendly and helpful. The guesthouse was very clean, with a bright room and an en-suite shower. Highly recommended.
The room smelled doggy, which set off my allergies, and it wasn’t up to much otherwise. We got no warm welcome, just rudeness. Worst guest house experience I’ve had. I’d stay well clear and pay the extra £5 for somewhere ten times better.
Clean, comfortable rooms and very nice owners. Their dog’s completely bonkers, but friendly! And sorry about the TV remote, lol. 😎
