That gravy was the best part, and the homemade Yorkshire puddings were lovely too. The roast potatoes had a crisp outside and fluffy middle, the meat was tender, and the vegetables were fresh. A beautiful Sunday carvery, all home cooked. I’d definitely recommend it.

My son suggested we try the carvery, and I’m glad he did. Everything was freshly cooked, especially the big Yorkshire puddings, which were so fluffy inside. The staff were really friendly and went out of their way to help. It was worth every penny, and we’ll definitely be back.

Book a table if you’re coming for Sunday lunch. We were lucky to be squeezed in at noon when they opened. The carvery was flipping lush, probably the best I’ve ever had, and the gravy was divine. I wish they sold it to take away. The staff were lovely and the service excellent. It’s dog friendly, and they have dog-friendly rooms too, so we’ll come back and stay. If I could give it ten stars, I would.

We didn’t stay overnight, so I can’t say anything about the rooms, but the Sunday carvery is easily the best we’ve had. This is definitely going to be our go-to place when we’re in Scarborough.

European football was on the TV, and the pint was very good and well priced. I’d popped in for a quick drink at 9 on a Wednesday and found myself there alone, but they had Timothy Taylor’s, so I couldn’t pass it up. Great!
