We celebrated my partner’s 30th here, and it was fantastic for our large gathering. The house has plenty of space so nobody feels on top of each other, and the rooms are really clean and well kept. Towels, kitchen equipment and all the other amenities were covered. Liz gave us a lovely welcome and made sure we had everything we needed. The town is gorgeous, with lovely pubs, too. Thanks for everything. Couldn't recommend this place more!

We've held annual get-togethers in different places for around 15 years, but after staying at Howgills I can't imagine us choosing anywhere else. Our group thoroughly enjoyed the barn. It ticked every box, and I can't think of anything that needs improving. It's a credit to everyone involved.

We had a brilliant stay with our big group of family and friends. The grounds are spacious and lovely for walking or running around, with beautiful views. The road up is pretty tight, but it's worth it once you arrive. Everything we could need was already there, and the owners were kind and very accommodating. The hot tub was cleaned daily. Rooms had their own ensuite toilets and showers, and most had single bunk beds, which work really well for large groups.

We stayed here for our kids' rugby tour, and it was superb. The boys especially enjoyed the hot tub and games room. The lounge worked perfectly, and everyone spent the whole evening in the big dining room, sitting area and outside. Would definitely recommend!

The Howgills Management team were friendly and professional, and Mr. Nigel gave us a warm welcome and excellent hospitality. We had everything we needed in the spotless, well-equipped and incredibly cosy cottage. After walking the hills, the hot tub was especially relaxing. The setting is beautiful, with mountain views and peaceful countryside, ideal for hiking or relaxing in nature. We couldn't have asked for more. Highly recommended, and we'll definitely be back. Thank you.
