Breakfast was plentiful and really fresh, with their own eggs, tomatoes, apple compote and jams. Our room felt a little luxurious, with cupcakes waiting on arrival and a separate bathroom with a freestanding bath. The hosts were very welcoming and keen to make sure we had everything we needed, and the location has amazing scenery. One small thing: the little picket fence at the back looked tired and very green with algae, though I think it was white underneath. It was one of the first things we saw getting out of the car, and that first impression made us pause.

We stayed for two nights in this lovely little hidden gem. Our room was beautiful and had a lovely view, with its own separate bathroom, while my mum and dad had the luxury room with an en suite. Richard and Trish were wonderful hosts, and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was very tasty. I’d definitely recommend the hotel, and hopefully we’ll be back soon.

The house and hosts were lovely, and our room was fantastic, with a comfortable bed in a really quiet spot. We stayed for one night during my partner’s birthday weekend. The hosts were helpful when we needed a taxi and somewhere to eat in Settle. We’ll definitely stay again.

This hidden gem was a perfect base for visiting the Dales, and the place exceeded our expectations. It’s a tastefully decorated mansion, with a huge bath and a choice of bubble bath. We were welcomed with tasty fairy cakes, biscuits and sherry, and they topped them up on the second day. The hosts were warm, friendly and very helpful.

We wished we could have stayed longer. My wife and I stopped for one night on our way back from a business trip in Glasgow, and the rooms, breakfast, hosts and countryside were all five-star. It’s a hidden gem in a stunning setting, and we’re looking forward to a longer visit.
