Holliers Hotel

Breakfast was generous and really tasty, and the owners, Carrie Ann and Wayne, were so welcoming and friendly. Nothing seemed like too much trouble. We stayed for five days in this picturesque part of Shanklin village, with plenty of free parking. The rooms were spacious and very clean, as you'd expect in an old character building. Good value for money, and we'd return.

It’s a very cheap, cheerful place, and I might well stay again. The hotel is old and could do with a lot of updating, so we were a bit apprehensive after reading some reviews. But our room was clean, the bed comfortable, the shower hot, and the staff were really friendly and helpful.

The police have just raided the place over a cannabis farm. What class! It makes me sick that children were allowed to stay when they knew about this. These scum are ruining what was once a wonderful holiday destination because they couldn’t make a living legitimately.

There were houseflies and fruit flies all over the room, and damp smell throughout. The bath panels had been removed to fix a leak and were put back badly. Room service didn't exist, the door needed to be slammed shut and hadn't been fixed, and there were very few food options. I definitely wouldn't return to this hotel.
