The apartment was immaculate, and the host kept us informed about everything we needed to know. It’s a little outside town, though, and we couldn’t get a taxi, so it was a good 30-minute walk each way, uphill on the return.

The sea views were wonderful to wake up to, and the bed was very comfortable. The flat was perfect for us, with everything provided, right down to binoculars and a torch. We had a lovely time and will book again. Totally recommend.

The fantastic views and spaciousness made up for some shortcomings in this large, self-catering two-bedroom flat. We paid for six days but got only one toilet roll per bathroom and two dishwasher tabs. It would have been nice to have enough for the whole stay, especially as dishwasher tabs are sold in large quantities and I don’t have a dishwasher at home. The TV was complicated, and the instructions made it more so. You can hear people upstairs because of the wooden floor, and the flat is too far from town to walk comfortably, particularly when it’s cold and dark.

The setting, building and garden are lovely, and the balcony and conservatory both have a nice sea view. But the apartment felt meanly presented, with sparse lounge furniture, just one small towel per person and one loo roll. Check-in was after 5 pm and checkout by 9 am. The beds were terrible, there were no blackout curtains, and the creaky floorboards meant one person getting up at night woke everyone. Such a shame, it could have been so much better.
