I was in Sheffield for work and wanted to try something other than a hotel. The houseboat was cosy and warm, with a spotless interior and a super-comfortable bed. Waking up to that lovely view was a treat. I'd definitely recommend it.

You'd never guess this beautiful boat is only five minutes from Sheffield city centre. There's loads of room, the bed's comfortable, and the owner has added lots of thoughtful little touches.

The peaceful setting and the boat having everything we needed made our two nights on the Lila May a lovely stay. It was clean, cosy and about 10 minutes from the city centre, with some amazing local gems close by. I would've liked a couple of larger towels, but that was the only thing. All in all, really lovely, and we'd happily return :) x

My partner loves barges but had never stayed overnight on one, so I booked this as a birthday treat. It was just the right size for two, very comfortable and had everything we needed aboard. There's a lovely pub close enough to stumble back from. The area was quiet and we slept well. We'd definitely come back.

Everything worked out perfectly for my partner's birthday, and I'm so pleased with the stay. The boat was stunning and much bigger than I expected. The location was spot on, with a great bar nearby, town a ten-minute walk away and parking right beside the boat. Can't fault any of it, five stars all round!
