The sandwiches and cakes were a good spread, and the waitress looked after us really well. I’m not keen on cucumber, salmon, or horseradish, but the cakes were delicious. We had a lovely spa day and afternoon tea, though the spa bath and steam room weren’t working. All in all, a great experience.

The staff were the highlight, from the kind woman at the spa desk to the bar team. A long-haired young fellow made sure I got a lovely chicken Cesar salad for lunch, and the two gentlemen on the night team were wonderful. I brought them poppadoms, which they deserved. My room was comfortable, and I liked having free bottles of water. Parking was free too. The spa was alright, though the steam room was too cold and had a strange smell. I won’t take stars off for that since it’s not technically part of hotel management. One issue in the room was the glass panel meant to stop water leaving the shower. It didn’t work well and left the floor slippery; personally, I think a permanent fixture extending farther along the bathtub would help. I recommend staying here.

On my second stay here, I again found it a comforting place to unwind. The spa, pool, sauna, and steam room make for a soothing little oasis. The steak at Marco Pierre restaurant was phenomenal, and the staff were fantastic. Paul especially went above and beyond to help and accommodate me. A lovely spot for a rejuvenating weekend.

I’ve emailed customer service and haven’t had a reply, so I’m putting this here. The room was in unacceptable condition: the air conditioner and fridge didn’t work, the shower gel hadn’t been refilled, and the phone was out of order. We had to open a window and were given a small fan, but the room stayed extremely uncomfortable. We were on the ground floor facing a busy parking lot while a wedding was taking place. The pool was warm, but the relaxation area was so hot it felt like a sauna, and the changing room was just as hot. Breakfast was uncomfortable too, with broken air conditioning and an open door that let flies settle on the buffet. Cutlery, food choices, and drinks kept running out and took time to replace, and the coffee machine worked only intermittently. Staff did their best, and the receptionist on Saturday morning 28 June 2025 was especially helpful and offered some compensation. I appreciated her professionalism, but that doesn’t cover the inconvenience and discomfort we experienced. I’d appreciate further compensation or other steps to put this right, and hope for a response and a resolution that reflects the Hilton brand.
