ibis Bradford Shipley Hotel

We keep coming here to visit family because this Travelodge is just so good. The staff are amazing, attentive and always ready to help. The restaurant is nicely decorated, and the food’s really good. We had pizza one evening and enjoyed it, and the breakfast buffet is good value too.

The staff were fantastic and helpful, even getting my luggage up to my room. I enjoyed my stay, but the geese outside woke me several times early in the morning. There were so many and they were so loud that at first I honestly thought someone was playing techno music. Once you get used to them, it’s okay.

The hotel has a large car park, at £1.50 per day, and was great value when I stayed. It’s right beside the canal, with a nice walk to Saltaire and Salts Mill. The rooms were refurbished, really clean, quiet and comfortable, and the staff were pleasant and helpful. I enjoyed the meals in the trendy cafe, and the all-you-can-eat breakfast was good at £9.99. Shipley itself is a nice town, with shops and pubs in the main shopping area a short walk away. The railway station is nearby, with direct links to Bradford, Leeds and beyond.

The staff really made this stay. Both nights were busy, but everyone I encountered across the cafe, bar, housekeeping, check-in and even first aid stayed polite, helpful and smiling, despite being rushed off their feet. I saw them help someone who needed it, too. On my second night the hotel was still buzzing, and housekeeping were working hard to get everything ready for the next guests. The rooms were quiet, clean and comfortable, and the rest of the hotel felt well kept. The bar and cafe looked clean and up to date. There’s plenty of parking, and it felt safe with cameras, though it costs £1.50 a night. The Bradford Shipley Travelodge is right in the heart of Shipley, next to Saltaire and Salts Mill. There are things to do nearby, including bars, and some great walks. I’d happily stay here again and recommend it to other travellers. I don’t think you’d be disappointed.
