We couldn't eat here, so this is just about the rooms. They were amazing, and the owner greeted us so warmly. We were grateful for the free upgrade. I'd arranged parking beforehand and was pleased we could still use it for a few hours after checking out. The location was perfect for pretty much everything we went to, and it was a lovely place for us to celebrate two lovely occasions.

We went with a large group on Saturday night, and the servers were lovely, though a little slow bringing the menus. My main was steak, cooked to perfection, but the only mustard available was English mustard, and I'd have preferred more choice. Before that, I had pressed ham hock, beautifully presented with both hot and cold elements. The cold Baked Apple & Hazelnut Pavé Fondant was a little too tart for my taste and would have been nicer if it hadn't come straight from the fridge. Still, it was a lovely evening with good food and lovely servers.

Stopped in today for a birthday lunch and it was wonderful. The faggots were sublime, and dessert was divine. There was a great choice of starters and sharing plates too. Service was great as always, and Miriam and the team really love looking after you.

Right in the centre of Shrewsbury, this is an amazing heritage hotel. The service is friendly and first class, and the restaurant is excellent value. I'd highly recommend staying or dining at the Drapers Hotel.

My wife surprised me with a meal here for my 50th birthday, and what a meal it was. The taste experience was completely sublime. The staff were exemplary and the chef is a genius. I can't recommend the place enough. We'll be back.
