The anniversary boards brought out with our puddings were such a lovely surprise, and we really enjoyed our meal at the Mytton and Mermaid. We hadn't mentioned the occasion beforehand, but Jess noticed my reasonably priced Champaign order and asked if we were celebrating. We told her it was our anniversary, and she congratulated us. That little touch meant a lot. We sat in the beautiful conservatory, whose elegant feel I was enjoying after watching Bridgeton. Stuart greeted us formally when we arrived and made us feel welcome. Jess gave us time to look through the extensive menu before taking our drinks order. My partner had a well looked after cask Ale, and we both chose the mixed roast. We thought it came with pigs in blankets, but it didn't; we asked for a portion once the food arrived and they brought it straight over. Everything came surprisingly quickly for a busy Sunday lunch. We'd absolutely recommend it and will be back with family and friends. Thank you all!

It wasn't cheap, but the meal was delightful and worth the money. I had the beef and potato pie, with wonderful shortcrust pastry. Lucy looked after us with excellent, polite service. I'd recommend this as somewhere special to go.

The Sunday roast had all the trimmings you could want, and the food was unforgettable. Service was quick, friendly and attentive, with a great range of drinks too. We'd already enjoyed an incredible Christmas Dinner here, but couldn't resist coming back. You really should try the panettone bread and butter pudding.

We had a nice evening out with the family, and the food was lovely. The young blonde haired lady was very nice, but the older woman working with her, with dark brown hair and a “Karen” style haircut, served us bluntly and with a lot of attitude. She was rude four times. I've worked in hospitality myself, and even on my worst days I never spoke to customers like that.

One of the worst Sunday dinners I've had. The meat was so tough I couldn't chew it, the vegetables were just half a carrot and a spoonful of cabbage, and the roast potatoes were stale. The lovely staff did refund the cost of the food, which was the only good part.
