A nice hotel at a reasonable price, with lovely hosts. I'd stay again and have no other complaints. The breakfast was quite nice and VERY well cooked, but better ingredients would make a difference. I'd happily pay another £5 for them. The menu said "sausages", but it was actually one chipolata. Two decent bangers from a local butcher would be much better. We won't notice the extra fiver!

A fascinating building with a large garden and some fine-feathered chickens! It's easy to find just inland from the seafront, and there's parking on site. The service was great, and my comfortable room at the back had a veranda where I could sit outside my bedroom. Ideal for a solo traveller. Thank you 😊

This was my second stay at The Woodlands, and I'll be back. It's a lovely family-run hotel, just minutes from the seaside and downtown. The place is spotless, airy and quiet, the food is delicious, and the hosts take excellent care of you. Thanks, Dan and Megan, for your hospitality and care.

The location is so convenient, a short walk to the coast and close to shops and buses, in an absolutely lovely area. The owners and staff were welcoming and so accommodating, and the hotel was comfortable and clean. I couldn't have asked for better. Breakfast was lovely, whether you wanted a cooked meal or just cereal.

We finally made it to The Woodlands Hotel for Sunday lunch after nine years, and I'm so glad we did. The food was delicious, and the hosts went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The boys loved playing with the hens in the garden. Megan brought them some toys too, so they could keep busy while we had a peaceful coffee in the beautiful conservatory. We also had fun playing pool together as a family, a nice way to end the afternoon. Then we went home with fresh eggs from the hens! We'd definitely recommend The Woodlands Hotel and are already looking forward to trying Thursday Curry Night.
