Breakfast was good each morning, and it was nice to have the guests chatting together instead of sitting in silence. The B&B is close to the beach, town and train station. Our room was quite small, but it worked fine for us. On our departure day the owner let us leave our bags at reception and keep the key, so we could pick everything up later before catching our train.

The lodge is in a great spot, near large supermarkets, the train station and the beach. There’s a car park outside, though the spaces are a bit tight, and the lodge is baby friendly. With no lift, we left the buggy at reception. Our room had a TV and kettle. Cleanliness really needs work. On the first night I found hair and stains on dirty bedding, and the floor hadn’t been vacuumed. We had to clean it ourselves because we had a small baby. The view from the window was just the wall of the next lodge. The sink was very small, and the shower curtain kept sticking to me. The description called it a family room, but it was very small for two people and a baby.

Carl and his family were lovely hosts, always happy to help. The rooms were lovely too, and breakfast was really good. We had a wonderful few days and wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Carl was chatty and made us feel at home, and the breakfast was great. When he realised my husband was having trouble walking, he quickly moved us to a ground-floor room and helped carry in our bags. We’d definitely stay again.

We only stayed overnight on an unplanned visit, and for £50 it did what we needed. The bed linen was clean, though the bathroom needed some attention. The double bed felt much too small for the room. We won’t be back.
