Springfield Holiday Apartments

Lovely manager, polite and very helpful. The place is nice and good value for money. I'd personally remove the leather sofa, put the fridge under the counter, and move the table and two chairs into the sofa's spot.

We had a really relaxing break here. The apartment was clean, comfortable and peaceful, with everything we needed. There was also a handy seating spot at the back and a washing line for our swim things. The pier and beach were only a few minutes away on foot.

We were left with nowhere to stay after arriving in Skegness with our two young children. I had booked a one-night stay at the springfield in March for July 29th, but when we tried to check in, I was told over the phone that they had overbooked and cancelled us without letting me know. No one came outside to speak to me in person. We ended up sitting in the street for two hours looking for somewhere else, then paid another fee at the apartments next door. The man I spoke with, who I assume was the owner, laughed while telling me they had no record of my booking. They also refused to refund me at first. I only got the refund process started after calling booking.com customer service, and the springfield holiday apartments seemed reluctant even then. We had travelled down by train, so this was a horrible experience and, to me, very poor customer service. A real shame.

Room 6 suited what we needed, and I’d happily stay again. It was clean, had all the basics for our visit and wasn’t too noisy despite being on a main road. The location is ideal, with everything a short walk away, and it was excellent value. You can park behind the property, though I’d suggest finding a space out front and leaving the car there. There are no restrictions at the front, and I could see my car from the window.
