The pub was welcoming, friendly and well run when I came to the Thank Folk Festival. I’ll pop in for another drink soon.

The Sunday lunch is fantastic, and they’re always very generous with the meat. The staff are lovely and consistently friendly. Totally recommend.

I only arrived near the end of Saturday night, but DJ Lee had great tunes going and everyone was dancing until the early hours. For such a late hour the atmosphere was really good, and the staff seemed efficient and fairly friendly. There was no fighting or animosity, which made a refreshing change from the Bull and Dog. The pub was very clean, too.

I hadn’t been in before, which is surprising given how close it is to the train station. It’s a nice enough pub, with a lovely barmaid and possibly the best pint of Doom Bar I’ve had since it was whisked away from Cornwall. I went in twice, before and after local football. It looks like it’s been refurbished recently, tastefully enough, and the prices are okay. Nothing to fault. I don’t get to Sleaford often, but I’d happily return if EMT ever cancels my train. Ha ha!

My mum, my partner and I went to the comedy night on 20/10, and the show itself was lovely. The trouble was that some regulars kept talking at the bar while the comedians were performing and heckled them. That was rude and disrespectful, especially since the performers had driven miles from home through a storm. I think future shows need a security person to deal with hecklers who spoil the audience’s enjoyment. There was also a 16-year-old at the event, despite the amount of adult content. If the comedians decide to return, I’d suggest making the tickets over-18s only. I hope these suggestions help future comedy nights run more smoothly and give both performers and audience members the respect they deserve.
