The staff were very helpful, but that's the only good thing I can say. We booked two nights around a European holiday, one before travelling and one after we got back. At Terminal 3, a taxi driver said TFL would charge a fixed price of £95 because it was on the wrong side of the M25, and suggested Uber or Bolt. The first room was tired and badly needed rejuvenating. The shower head was hanging off the wall, the bathroom floor was dirty, and the electrics looked somewhat unsafe. The second room, after our return, was worse. It had one double plug that looked as if it had overheated. The ensuite was a joke, with the toilet hidden behind the sink. The shower cubicle was dirty, the curtain stained, and the extremely dirty drain hole had no cover. The vent was just a hole in the ceiling.

We had room 5, and noise came from several directions. Planes overhead from 6am-10pm, plumbing or a water pump switching on and off every 10 minutes all night, and a constant hum from refrigeration or cooling systems in the room below, also all night.

The building is cute and historic, close to the airport and major bus routes, and the staff are personable. The Italian restaurant served delicious pizza and beers. The rooms are tiny and outdated, and the beds are too small for couples. They’re falling apart and need work. Some have limited wifi, and they get super hot in summer. Loud planes are constantly flying overhead. If you need somewhere cheap near the airport, this will work. It isn’t for you if you want a comfortable stay in a beautiful property.

The rooms were tidy, though a bit worn-looking. It works well for a night when you’re flying from Terminal 5, and the location is handy.

The Italian restaurant downstairs was the highlight for me, it was that good. Colnbrook Lodge is comfortable and cozy, with a welcoming feel and great value. You can hear planes, as you’d expect a few bus stops from Heathrow, but shutting the window kept the noise from bothering me.
