We only stayed one night while visiting family nearby, but this is a lovely little hotel. The rooms were stunning and comfortable, the decor lovely, and the welcome warm. The bar was well stocked and breakfast, cooked fresh to order, was tasty. It's nice to see a small independent hotel get every part of a short stay right. My only suggestion would be to leave a bottle or two of water in the room. Highly recommended.

The George made a great base for getting around North Devon, and its friendly staff made us feel welcome. Our room was beautifully decorated, with plenty of storage and a very comfortable bed. The en-suite was excellent and clearly well maintained. Breakfast was a highlight, especially the best fried egg I've ever had in a hotel. We were very pleased with our short stay and would recommend The George.

It's always a pleasure to pop in. The team is lovely, the tea and coffee are excellent, and the atmosphere feels so welcoming. They also serve the best carrot cake in the south. Do stop by when you're in town :)

The family who stayed overnight were delighted with their rooms and the excellent breakfast. We also had a wonderful afternoon celebrating a special birthday on Saturday. Mark and the team took care of everything, with superb service and fantastic food. Thanks to them for all their hard work and hospitality. The George would be a great choice for a function or even just a drink. Thank you again.

We live in South Molton and came in for a birthday breakfast with my daughter. I often book my visiting family into this place, and they always rave about the breakfast, so we decided to give it a try ourselves. It was lovely, and we’ll definitely be back ☺️
