The bar had a friendly feel, with plenty of locals and a good range of beers. The Chinese restaurant on site was a nice surprise. I stayed for two nights, 19/20 November. We got a warm welcome, were shown to our rooms, and had everything about the stay explained. If I'm working in the area again, I'll definitely book a room.

The plumbing was a problem: foul-smelling water came up through the bath plug hole. There was also a bright light left on all night in the room. The waffles at breakfast were 10 days out of date, so we couldn't have breakfast at the B&B. I would never stay here again.

I was meant to stay for two nights but managed just one. The room was okay, though very dated, and the quilt was stained. A fire exit light shone so brightly into the room it was like daylight. I asked the manager the next morning for a refund for the night I hadn't stayed, and I'm still waiting.

There was a huge fire in the back garden, giving off acrid smells. It seemed they were burning waste, including mattresses and big bags, to save on proper disposal. No regard for customers, neighbours or the environment. I spoke to the bartender, who just shrugged it off. Avoid this establishment!

Priors Marston is a beautiful area, and the rustic, cosy inn has a real sense of authenticity. We stayed two nights in the Napton Room. The bed was especially large for a single, and the toiletries and breakfast basket were included and delightful. Rob, the landlord, was very pleasant and made sure everything was comfortable and convenient. There was a wide choice of drinks, including cocktails and some shots. We'd definitely return, and are planning an extended visit with the family soon.
