Hard to fault for the price. This b&b was kept to a high standard, better than many similar places could manage. The rooms are comfortable, if basic, and the excellent off-street parking was much appreciated.

The room was clean and tidy, and very good value, especially for the south coast. Staff were polite and easy to approach. I was confused about breakfast because the 'last orders' time didn’t match either the in-room guest booklet or what I was told at arrival. There’s a large gravel car park, though motorcyclists may find it off-putting. I needed a foot for my sidestand. Noise was an issue, with traffic from the high street and bypass as well as the railway all audible. The nearby restaurant options seemed limited to Chinese and Indian food, though prices were reasonable. There are plenty of New forest gastropubs if you’re willing to travel for a meal.

The beds were comfortable, breakfast was great and the staff were brilliant. The showers were a bit hit and miss, but acceptable for an overnight stay.

Our first visit to this B&B was excellent. It’s just a short walk from Totton station, and for a reasonable price we got a good-sized room, a super-comfy bed and a lovely cooked breakfast included. Recommended.
