The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, and the seating is comfortable, with both indoor and outdoor areas. On a sunny day, the terrace is a lovely spot. I’ve only been for afternoon tea, so I can’t comment on the rooms. The location is lovely, and the sandwiches were tasty and made fresh to order. The cakes were a letdown, though. They seemed to have been in the fridge too long and were a bit dry. Skip the cake and you’ll be fine ☺️

We arrived before check-in but could leave our bags while we went out for a wander. The Pier Room was really clean, with fresh towels and an amazing view. The hotel was in a good spot, close to the beach but far enough from the traffic noise. Breakfast the next morning was a real treat, especially the Full English Breakfast. The staff were friendly and everything went smoothly.

A sunny day is perfect for sitting in the gardens with tea and cake. The gardens look out over the cliffs and beach, and the cakes are excellent. It’s a nice little cafe, with very friendly staff and quick service. I’ll definitely be back.

It brought back memories of old England, and I’m sad our first stay will be our last because the place is being sold due to sad circumstances. Penny and Sally were great hosts, and I wish them all the best for the future. We loved the room, the cosy bed and the beautiful views. Breakfast and afternoon tea were well made and presented, with everything locally sourced. We found this little gem and only wish we’d discovered it sooner.

The rooms were clean, though smaller than I expected, and the location was good. There’s a lovely front garden where breakfast is served, but the service really spoiled the visit. Penny seemed to be having a bad day and was brisk, clipped and frankly rude. Service is a deal-breaker for us, so although I’d have liked to give this B&B at least four stars, I wouldn’t go back.
