West Street Studios

The West Street studio was good value and came clean, equipped and comfortable. I’d have preferred an ensuite bathroom, but it wasn’t a problem. The road outside gets pretty noisy at night. I sleep with earplugs because of my wife's infernal snoring, so it didn’t bother me much. Better than a Travelodge at a similar price.

Horrible experience. The listing said double bed, but I found two singles pushed together, and there was a burn in the corner that someone had tried to hide under a rug. I doubt the place had been cleaned properly. Customer service was awful too. They charge for basic help, and when you’re unhappy, they won’t apologise or offer compensation. It felt like they cared more about getting your money than making the stay decent. Don’t book here.

It was freezing in winter, and the management wouldn’t be flexible. There’s no extractor, so smells linger in the room, and the house stinks when you walk in. The bathroom is separate from the room. I really don’t recommend this place. Places like this shouldn’t be open.

A lovely stay in a self-contained studio, with all the amenities I needed. I’d happily come back.
