Burnbank Lodges

The river’s sound and the quiet, beautiful nature around Burnbank Lodges made it feel like another world. The place was very clean and peaceful, with useful kitchen facilities that had everything we needed. There was always parking available too. A perfect spot if you’re after relaxation and tranquility.

We loved hearing the river outside and staying somewhere so peaceful. Burnbank Lodges is a great base for exploring the Scottish Highlands, especially if you don’t mind being a little off the beaten path. Fort William is about 15 minutes away, with enough places to eat that we could try somewhere different each night for several days. There are also good gravel cycling routes from the cabin. Each day my wife and I chose a direction and explored by car, taking in amazing scenery, castles and coastal villages. We were there for several days to celebrate our 25th anniversary. Campbell and Nina were wonderful and welcoming, communicated very well, and had lots of thoughtful touches around the property. They’re clearly receptive and responsive to feedback.

We found a lovely lodge in a beautiful wooded spot overlooking the river. The accommodation matched its description and what we expected. Nina answered our questions before arrival quickly and helpfully, and the hosts made us feel welcome. I’d happily return for another peaceful trip and would recommend it.

We spent seven days here and found it a great base for the Scottish Highlands. The cottage was well equipped for the time we mostly spent in, though we also found a couple of good places to eat nearby. We loved the woodland view, having a glass of wine by the river, and the gentle walk through the nearby woods. Campbell and Nina were wonderful hosts and communicated well. We’d highly recommend staying here.
