The location made things easy, with a SPAR nearby for food and essentials, plus some nice roadside walks. Our spacious chalet-like accommodation was clean and well cared for, and felt just right for a family. I also appreciated the little kitchen area for making coffee. I brought a small stove and made tea in the morning, which added a homely touch. A pleasant, practical stay and good value.

The bathroom was filthy, there was no hot water, and a screw was being used to lock the bathroom door. The floor was gritty, and there were no staff on site to help. The property is clearly under renovation and doesn't seem to be operating as a hotel in any meaningful way, despite charging £150 a night. I was extremely disappointed. Charging full price for a closed, unmaintained, and unstaffed hotel is unacceptable and feels like misrepresentation.

Such a peaceful spot to get away. The rooms are lovely and very clean, and the staff are lovely too. We're a family of four and love this place. We'll be back very soon!

The hotel is set behind the main building, and you can park right outside your room. I visited in mid-November and booked a bunk bed and a double bed. The atmosphere was nice and quiet, and the welcome and service were very good. They provided a list of takeaways and restaurants. The heater worked when we arrived but stopped after a while, leaving the whole cabin and bathroom cold. The hot shower was good.

Very basic place to stay. The towels were lovely and fluffy, but the beds weren't comfortable. It got cold in the unit overnight, and we could hear everything from next door.
