Smiddy House & Russell's Restaurant

Breakfast was excellent, with a great choice for a place of this size, and a really good cooked breakfast. Craig and Emma were attentive and welcoming. The rooms are very nice, though modest in size, and there's a pleasant lounge and breakfast area. If you're walking the Great Glen Way, they offer reasonably priced pick-up and drop-off at a few locations.

Everything looked sparkling clean, and the room was decorated in lovely colours. Breakfast was delicious and served quickly. Still, we wouldn't stay again. Neither of us slept well because we found the bed in the Islay room very uncomfortable. The shower pressure was very low. It may be down to the village water supply and outside the owners' control, but we've had low pressure ourselves on a private supply and found a pump can fix it. We stayed at Smiddy House for one night, and it was absolutely spotless.

Emma and Craig were wonderful hosts, friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. My room was cozy and tidy, with everything I needed, and breakfast was fantastic each morning. It made a great base for exploring the surrounding area.

Emma and Craig were lovely and made my late arrival easy. The room was clean and comfortable, and the food was delicious. Emma went above and beyond by helping me call a local number about my car hire. Smiddy House is well placed for exploring Fort William and Glencoe. Thanks to them both, I'd happily come back.
